The Main idea of establishing N.S.S firstly came in the minds of late Prime Minister Pandit Javaharlal Nehru and the father of nation Mr. Mahatma Gandhi with the ideology of the college students should have the knowledge and experience about the constructive social services towards the people who resides in rural area of our country, even after Independence of the country, majority of people lives in villages not in cities so they must be brought in the main stream of the society. With the following aims and objectives, Dr. V.K.V Rao Central minister for education established N.S.S. on dated 24thSept. 1969
To understand the social problems of the society in which we live.
To make oneself able to understand the various types of problem of the society.
To understand the needs and difficulties of the society and to try to minimize them so that it can get progressed.
By adopting leadership qualities, to make democratic progress of the society.
To develop National integrity among the people of the society especially youth.
