The library is the soul of the college and treasure house of knowledge and information for the educational, social and cultural development of the college.Library is the essential and integral component of this institution.The library holdings in terms of books, journals and other learning materials and technology-aided learning mechanisms enable students to acquire information, knowledge and skills required for their study programs.
The GMV Central library inaugurated on 25th Sept.1991, in presence of Honorable KarmaveerKishanraoji Rathod (President, VJSS, Vasantnagar), Late.DalitmitraGovindraoji Rathod (Ex-secretary, VJSS, Vasantnagar) and other eminent personalities.
The University Grants Commission, VJJS, Vasantnagar, Jindal Trust, Bengaluruand Shri Shiddhivinayak Trust, Mumbai, played vital role in the growth and development of GMV library.
The mission of the library is to provide comprehensive access to the resources and innovative services to support teaching, learning and research activities of the college and thereby to cater diverse information needs of user community of this college.The library strives to develop balanced collection of information resources, irrespective of forms and to adopt technologies to provide better information services.
To promote the use of resources to help the users to achieve their educational and professional goals.
To offer personal assistance to select, organize and use the information.
To maintain healthy environment for the students to study.
To build collection complementary for competitive exams to provide competitive edge to students

Library Hours: 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

Library has good collection on different areas of knowledge, such as Languages and Literature, Social sciences, Humanities, Commerce and Management, Pure and Applied Science, etc.
Library is administered by the Librarian in assistance with Attendants.
Library Advisory Committee ensures proper administration of the library.It consists of a Chairman (Principal), a Secretary (Librarian) and other members are HOD of the various departments with student’s representative.

Library is kept open on all working days, except public and National holidays.
Two Books is issued for a week on a library borrows cards to each student.
One book at a one time is issued to each student on his I-Card for the purpose of reading only in the library. Loss of I-card / Borrow Card should be reported to the librarian immediately.
Duplicate I-Card will be issued with due charges.
Students can avail the facility of reference books / journals / periodicals within the library premises only.
A fine if Rs. 2 /-per day will be charged on late return of books issued on library borrow cards and a fine of Rs. 5 /-per day will be charged on late return of books, newspapers, periodicals etc. is prohibited and will be liable for strict action.
Students should produce their identity cards when demanded by the library staff.
Loudly talk on mobile is strictly prohibited in library premises.
If you feel inconvenient about library services, please contact to library staff.
This library property is for you, so it is your duty to protect it.
Student should enter their names in the entry register. It is compulsory.
Complete silence should be maintained in the reading hall.
Group discussions, loud talking are not allowed in the library.
