Yoga is essentially a practical subject based on an extremely subtle science, which focuses on bringing harmony between mind, body and spirit. It is a very powerful means to achive physical, mental and emotional well being. Yoga paves the way to discover the self, the external world and the nature. It is an art and science for healthy living. Yoga has several benefits including education, health and stress management. Keeping this in mind, a certificate programme in Yoga (CPY) is being launched.
After completion of this programme, a student should be able to: Narrate the meaning & history of Yoga, and the contribution of various Yogis Cpmprehend the basic principles and practice of Yoga. Demonstrate the protocol yoga programme developed by AYUSH ministry. Demonstrate yoga practice for prevention of diseases and adiption of yogic llifestyle develop a holistic health for himself for enhancing functionality.
All the students who have passed class XII are eligible for Certificate Programme in Yoga.
Programe can be complited in a minimum period of 3 months and maximum period of one years.
